Posted by TU Events on .
From 13 to 16 October 2026, a FAM trip was organised in the Kvarner region to showcase the tourism and hotel offerings of Opatija, Rijeka and Crikvenica, with a particular focus on opportunities for corporate clients.
The programme presented hotels, restaurants and authentic regional experiences that can be incorporated into business meetings, team-building activities, corporate events and special employee benefits. Through first-hand exploration of the destination and its offerings, participants gained insight into Kvarner’s potential for hosting a variety of business and incentive programmes.
The trip began on Tuesday, 13 October, with a morning departure from Belgrade. The first stop was Bitoraj Restaurant, where lunch was served, followed by an opportunity to enjoy a short walk around the lake or visit Vrelo Cave. The group then continued to Opatija and checked in at Hotel Ambasador. Participants used their free time to stroll along the seafront and the famous Lungomare promenade or relax in the hotel’s wellness centre. The first day concluded with dinner and a meeting with hotel representatives.
On Wednesday, 14 October, the programme began with a tour of Hotel Ambasador, followed by check-out. Accompanied by a local guide, participants explored Opatija, a town known for its Austro-Hungarian architecture, landscaped parks, elegant seaside villas and long tradition of health and leisure tourism. After lunch at Yacht Club Restaurant, the programme continued with a visit to Rijeka and a brief city tour. The evening was dedicated to arriving at Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa, discovering its hotel facilities and enjoying dinner at The Kitchen restaurant, where participants also met hotel representatives.
Thursday, 15 October, was dedicated to Crikvenica and its hotel and gastronomic offerings. Following breakfast and a tour of Hilton Rijeka Costabella, the group arrived in Crikvenica, where participants enjoyed a short walk and a panoramic boat trip aboard Mali Marino. After disembarking at Crni Mol harbour, the programme continued with a visit to Hotel Katarina in Selce, where participants toured the property and enjoyed lunch featuring the “Blue Fish Month” menu.
The group then proceeded to Hotel Miramare, where participants checked in and toured the property. The evening featured a four-course gastronomic dinner prepared by Executive Chef Michele Rajačić, with dishes inspired by blue fish and scampi. This part of the programme highlighted the importance of local ingredients and Adriatic cuisine in shaping Kvarner’s tourism identity.
On the final day, Friday, 16 October, following breakfast and hotel check-out, the programme continued to Novi Vinodolski and its hinterland. Accompanied by representatives of the Novi Vinodolski Tourist Board, participants visited Krmpote, the Tilia local products tasting venue and the Kuk viewpoint. The next stop was Pavlomir Wine House, where they discovered the winery’s offerings and took part in a wine tasting.
The final part of the programme included a tour of Mövenpick Hotel and Residences Kvarner Bay, followed by lunch and the return journey to Belgrade.
Throughout the four-day programme, participants explored different aspects of Kvarner’s tourism offering, from hospitality and wellness to cultural and coastal attractions, local gastronomy, wine and authentic experiences in the hinterland. The trip’s particular value lay in demonstrating how hotel facilities can be combined with distinctive experiences to create added value for corporate clients, whether for business meetings, team-building activities, incentive travel or employee-focused programmes.
